When you buy furniture, you always want to make sure that your furniture gets enough attention that it needs. Usually, we think that keeping our wooden furniture looking nice and always new is another step of investment, and sometimes we become too fussy in trying to keep them young as new. meanwhile, we also need to remember what will happen if you care too much? It would cause more harm than good, as is furniture, and let it be vintage with grace.

Here are a few tips from the experts at our high-end furniture store,

That would help you to keep your furniture last longer

Regular Vaccum:

A regular Vacuum is very important, as it can help you remove all the dirt particles and pet hair from within the nook and crannies of your sofa. Dusting is another option, while Vaccum is more effective when compared to dusting, it takes out all the dust particles and gives a clean and allergic-free look and feel.

Refrain Direct Sunlight Exposure:

Furniture items are often advised to keep away from direct exposure to sunlight, as the direct and prolonged radiation from the sunlight results in fading of wood. Eventually, your favorite piece of furniture will look pale and dull.

Make A Routine :

Regular Cleaning & dusting of your furniture plays a vital role, you can also try brushing your sofa fabric as it helps to remove unwanted threads, strings & hair, and hence gives a clean, sleek and improved look. Brushing is usually required for seating furniture like sofas, lounges and recliners, use a broad and soft spike brush, and remember to brush all in one direction for optimum results.

Try DIY Furniture Cleanser :

Although a wide range of chemical cleaners is available, still the DIY solution helps us out in an easy and effective way. Do not try to use store-bought cleaners or polishes at home. You never know how badly the chemicals in them are going to react with your wooden finish. The better & safe way is to clean your wooden furniture with your own DIY Solution

Use Leather Conditioner :

If your living room has a leatherette sofa or couch, you have to have a leather conditioner to clean it up. In case of a spill or something drooling over your couch, you need to take immediate action on cleaning. Additionally, cleansing leatherette couches or sofa regularly with leather conditioner will help them stay shiny and sleek for a long time and eventually prevent early cracking.

Avoid Extreme Temperatures:

Placing hot items, such as irons, coffee mugs, steamers can literally melt the finish away. To avoid burn rings and heat damage, always use coasters when placing glasses or hot mugs on your wooden table, and be careful while placing hot food pans or packages directly on them, without the protection of a trivet or potholder. To be on the safe side incorporate decorative placemats or tablecloths to protect your dining room table from direct heat and spillage.

Never Allow Moisture:

Wood breathes, so it is vulnerable to dry and wet conditions. Excessive moisture can induce mold, while too much dryness can weaken joints and cause your furniture to lose its regular shine. avoid water splashes and condensation from vases and cold drink glasses on your furniture, This can harshly damage and destroy upper coatings through "blooming", an effect that causes transparent coatings to turn white or milky. This damage is made worse when wooden furniture suffers from ink or liquid stains from beverages such as coffee or tea.
